Chamaleon – 21.65 x 21.65 in /55 x 55 cm
Adapt to your surroundings, adjust your colors and hues, but let the true self always shine through.

Wajid – 21.65 x 21.65 in /55 x 55 cm
Wajid is a word of Arabic origin that means one who perceives or finds.
Awareness – (21.65 x 21.65 in / 55 x 55 cm)
This artwork is an invitation to you to be aware, fully aware of your inner emotions and the outside world. An invitation to pay attention, look carefully and feel what is there.
Here I used blacks, shades of grey and a hint of color to call for attention with no distractions from bright flashy colors.
Unknown identity– 21.65 x 21.65 in /55 x 55 cm
In this portrait I wanted to convey the diversity of origins and genes we carry, knowing or unknowingly. Although in recent years and even more so, in these past few months, inmigration and diversity of origins have been a hot topic, it is a reality that we can not turn away from. We are all a mix of so many legacies
The inspiration came from an italian/english circus musician living in Uruguay, that happend to be my grandfather.. He was the son of an italian inmgrant and englishman railroad employee, who never knew he had a son after his short stay at a certain town by the railroad. This is a recurrent story in so many small towns along the tracks. I bet you know one!
Wisdom – 21.65 x 21.65 in /55 x 55 cm
This portrait is an invitation to honor our elders and their wisdom. Their lives are written in their wrinkles and in the depth of their eyes, they have so many stories to tell us and so many lessons to teach us. Sit comfortably, look right into her eyes and listen. What is she telling you?
In this artwork I used combination a watercolor like approach to apply the dyes and wax resist. I let the dyes spead a bit and mix a bit, then reserve. I choose a green plain background to keep the view focused on her face and eyes.
I am gone – 39.37 x 27.56 in / 100 x 70 cm
With all his experience written on his skin, like a faithful papyrus and thankful for a life well lived, he is taking a leap to new dimension.
This is my tribute to many that left, leaving us with many stories and great things to remember them.
Messy thoughts – 21.65 x 21.65 in /55 x 55 cm
The inspiration for this work comes from feeling and seeing how disorderly and contradictory thoughts invade the mind. Breathe in calm to regain clarity.
In this piece I combined two different techniques of painting with batik. Layering of colors using wax as resist and shading with heavy crackling on the face.
Peeping Tom – 21.65 x 21.65 in / 55 x 55 cm
Hidden in the darkness of his room and of his soul, Peeping Tom, waits and hunts for his prey.
